Received a Masters degree from The University of Tennessee and has been a treating therapist for over 30 years. Served as Regional Operations Director for TMI a national Therapy consulting organization before opening Team Care Rehab in 1994. Meg’s main purpose for Team Care Rehab was to serve nursing facilities across Texas and the surrounding states. In 2000 Team Care Rehab became Medicare and Medicaid certified for outpatient rehab therapy and opened the first outpatient rehab clinic for seniors in a retirement community. In 2007 expanded Team Care to pediatric therapy by opening a clinic in the San Antonio Medical Center which serves children age birth to 21. Married and a mother to 3 young men who have called San Antonio home for the last 28 years.

Veatrice Cook, PT, MA, has practiced physical therapy for over 45 years. Her practice settings range from pediatrics to geriatrics. As a clinician and supervisor she was: owner and manager of three private practice outpatient clinics, East and South San Antonio Physical Therapy Clinic, and Mobile Physical Therapy; Director of physical therapy at Austin State School; Regional Clinical Director of physical therapy with SunDance Rehab Corporation, a long term care provider; staff clinician at several home health agencies that served the geriatric population; and for the past 19 years she has supervised physical therapy services for TeamCareRehab Corporation, currently serving as Director of Rehabilitation.

Ms. Cook received a BS degree in physical therapy from Texas Woman’s University, Denton, Texas and MA in Special Education from the University of Texas, Austin, Texas. As a clinician, she has maintained her skills through numerous continuing education courses, with special training in the John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach. Ms. Cook has been an instructor of several education courses, with a special emphasis on Prevention and Wellness, and has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas and the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. As a clinician, she has served as Clinical Director for many aspiring therapists, who have now become clinical educators themselves.

As a community activist, Ms. Cook has served on numerous boards and nonprofit organizations. The following boards are just a few of the many that she chaired or was a member: YWCA of San Antonio, City Transportation Advisory Board; the Casey Family Program Advisory Board; the American Academy of Physical Therapy (a Founder); the Texas Network of Minority Physical Therapist; the Edwards Ministerial Association; the United Way Foundation Board of San Antonio; the American Physical Therapy Association; the Texas Physical Therapy Association; the San Antonio Women’s Chamber of Commerce; and the Oak Hills Rotary Club of San Antonio.

Numerous awards and honors have been presented to Ms. Cook over the years for her service to others, with the following highlighted: inducted into the San Antonio’s Women’s Hall of Fame; the Leadership Award from the American Academy of Physical Therapy, and the Distinguished Alumni Award from Texas Woman’s University, Denton. Texas, where she was the first physical therapy alumnus to receive this award.

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, graduated from the University of Texas Austin in 2018. Became the full time Director of Marketing for Team Care Rehab in 2021 after working periodically as a PT tech and receptionist. I am gifted with the opportunity to help grow the business and expand Team Cares reach, helping more people. My favorite thing about working for Team Care Rehab is knowing that every community we are in, we are helping people maintain their independence and quality of life.
